The Big Apple kicks off its own World Cup…COPANYC

Soccer is called football in practically every country except the US and Canada, where the ‘Grid Iron’ sport is football, and ‘football’ is soccer. That is why A unique multicultural event www.copanyc.us will be the first of its kind in hopes to change this attitude. 

It gives us great pleasure to announce Caid Productions will Executive Produce content for TWELVE documentary film shorts and ONE full length feature for COPANYC. Our cameras will role following the lives of 4 team captains, from Liberia (Dante Kaba: Producer/Director)
Korea (Rich Lim: Producer/Director) USA (Chris Noble: Producer/Director) and
Spain, as they both prepare to take on their opponents on the field and maneuver real life dramas and the duality that comes with Americanization.


Go France! This story will be a deeper dive into the soccer-loving French community here in NYC. We’ll meet and get to know a diverse cross-section of local French life as we follow Team NYC France through the Tournament. (Thierry Daher, Producer/Director)
The look will be classic, colorful and cinematic.

COPANYC engages all walks of life to play together for the love of the game. A grass roots operation started by Chris Noble and Spencer Dormitzer, Caid Production joins the owners to keep its independence from corporate sponsor take overs’ and offers instead partnerships to keep the game as it was intended to be played, to collectively and skillfully make the gol. And, it will undoubtably win over fans from countrymen as far east and west to watch this sport come alive in the greatest city in the world. Hence, in honoring their communities in which they live, COPANYC’s heros are true sportsmen and epitomize New Yorkers to its core.
